Installing OmniROM 4 4 for GT N7000


After more than a month using stock XXLT9 + Philz + Xposed framework, I had decided to install OMNI ROM after good review from friends that its stable enough for daily usage.


How to make SCREENSHOTS in OMNI?
1. Press Volume DOWN + POWER Button + Hold for 1 second. DONE! OR
2. Press Power Button. You need to enable it in system setting.

Android KitKat 4.4.2 for GT-N7000

Add Screenshot menu selection.

Press Power button. Screenshot menu avail.

Default Home

Default Home-Group

Auto Update Apps. Since I select the options to restore from Google Backup


NIGHTLY Auto Detect Software Update. You will have the option to FLASH or NOT. No worry.

OpenDelta is responsible for checking new update/patches and download. Make sure its keep running....

 Click to Flash

Download Nightly update on WIFI only! Else it will kill your bandwidth.

Attention! After flash NIGHTLY you will loose ROOT. What should I do?
Install SuperSu backup Script. SuperSu Added option to install add-on backup script in order to survive nightly update flashes.

 Run SuperSU. Click OK

ROOT will survive nightly update.
Good and responsive stylus but you cant make screen shots with it. NO PROBLEM running Samsung XXLT9 stock Photo Editor.

 It would be good if Long Press stylus will make screen capture. Just like Samsung Stock :)

Set you stylus...Galaxy Note user.
Show icon when using stylus will show a mouse pointer. Personally I dont like it. So, I dont check it.

Active Display. Cool feature. During lock screen, you could see message coming in the centre of screen. Very useful during lunch/dinner time. Just left you phone facing up...you will see how nice it is.

Swipe DOWN Top right screen to Show toggles.

I want it FAST! Just OFF the animation in Developer Options.

How to get developer options on OMNI? Keep pressing Build Number a few times... automatically you will be a DEVELOPER :) . Im already a developer for more than 15 years... hehehehehe

Specific folder for photo edited using Samsung Photo Editor.

Omni Toggles avail selections. You are able to re-arrange it by clicking the Pen icon on top first to go to edit mode. Then, Press icon to re-arrange and drag it to you selection place.

But you are not able to add or remove icons in toggles.

The good thing is you can HIDE it.

Download these files for you to upgrade from anywhere. 


1. Philz Touch for CM-11 here. If you are not sure that your current CWM able to flash OMNI, just flash Philz for CM-11. Reboot Recovery.
2. NIGHTLY build for OMNI here
3. Google Apps here
4. Download SuperSU v1.86 here. If you lost your ROOT. Flash this in recovery.
Dont forget to install SuperSU Backup Script to survive NIGHTLY update loosing root.

With Windows Phone 8 system, 4.8-inch screen and many other advantageous configurations, Samsung ATIV S GT-I8750 phone has enjoyed great popularity among customers. However, a number of users have no idea how to set a password to it. Therefore, the steps to set a password on Samsung GT-I8750 are introduced below.


Step 1: Swipe left on the screen to open a menu of all apps.


Step 2: Swipe up on the menu and click Settings.


Step 3: Choose Lock screen.


Step 4: Find Password option and move the slider to right so as to turn it on.


Step 5: Enter a password, reenter it and tap Finishin the next interface.


After these steps, whenever the phone screen is locked, you need to swipe up to unlock the screen first, and then input the password created to access the Start screen.

The following steps can effectively assist you to set a password on your Samsung GT-S7562/GT-S7562I phone.


Step 1: Click Apps.


Step 2: Open Settings.


Step 3: Choose Security to go on.


Step 4: Tap Scree lock.


Step 5: Select Password.


Step 6: Input your desired password and click Continue.


Note: The password must possess at least 4 characters, including at least 1 letter.


Step 7: Re-input the password and tap OK.


After these seven steps, the screen of your Samsung GT-S7562/GT-S7562I phone will be locked with the created password.

The following steps can help you efficiently set a password on your Samsung GT-I8190N phone.


Step 1: Click Apps on the phone screen.


Step 2: Select Settings.


Step 3: Tap Lock screen.


Step 4: Choose Screen lock.


Step 5: Select Password in the screen lock options.


Step 6: Enter a password composed of at least 4 characters and click Continue.


FYR, the password must contain at least 1 letter.


Step 7: Reenter the password and tap OKto confirm it.

Installing GT N7000XXLTA

Installing GT N7000XXLTA


Testing latest Samsung Firmware N7000XXLTA

If you would like to install it.
1. Download PC ODIN 1.85 here and download the N7000XXLTA firmware here

2. Run PC Odin on your desktop and add the "N7000XXLTA_N7000BOLT1_N7000DTMLT5_HOME.tar.md5" into PDA input box.

3. Click [Start] to install new firmware.

DONE!

Its NO WIPE. All apps intact but ROOT removed.


Next:
Get Philz to root your phone here. Download it and copy it into your external SD Card to flash via Samsung Recovery.

How to go to Samsung Recovery?
1. Power Off  your phone
2. Press Home+Volumne UP+Power Button and hold until its boot to recovery.


You should have something like this to update from SD Card.

Due to diversified reasons, many users would like to lock their Samsung GT-I8268 phones with a code known only by themselves. So, this post focuses on the introduction of the steps to set a password in GT-I8268 phone.


Step 1: Click the Apps icon on the bottom right of the phone screen.


Step 2: Select Settings in the apps.


Step 3: Choose Lock screen.


Step 4: Tap Screen lock to go on.


Step 5: Select Password.


Step 6: Type a password which should contain at least 4 characters (including at least 1 letter), and click Continue when done.


Step 7: Re-type the password and choose OKto confirm it.

Samsung Galaxy Core GT-I8262 is one of the most selling budget Smartphone in the Samsungs Galaxy series. Its a dual sim smartphone available for 13,000 INR in Indian market. For this price tag, the device holds some descend specs both software and hardware level. The Galaxy core shipped with Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean and it have the same TouchWiz Nature UX UI which was included in the Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2.

In this post i included the steps to capture screenshot in Galaxy Core GT-I8262 without using any third party app. We can take the screenshot of Galaxy Core duos using the same key combo uses in other Galaxy devices like Galaxy S3,Galaxy S4,Note 2, etc.

1. Go to the screen you want to capture.
2. Now , Press and hold the Power and Home button for 2-3 seconds.

Thats it...On successful capture you will hear a capture sound and will see a white border animation in the screen.

To get the captured picture
Go to Gallery -> Screenshots
Or
Go to /storage/sdcard0/Pictures/Screenshots using any file manager.
